Healthy, mature amaryllis bulbs often produce smaller secondary bulbs, called offsets or bulblets, near the base of the main bulb. These can be carefully removed and repotted to create new plants.
Once planted, After an amaryllis blooms, cut the flower stems to about 1-2 inches above the bulb. Allow the leaves to grow and nourish the bulb, then gradually reduce watering as the plant naturally goes dormant. Store the bulb in a cool, dark place for 6-12 weeks to encourage it to rebloom next year.
