Trailing Jade thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Place it in a location with abundant light, but protect it from intense, direct sun, especially during the hottest parts of the day, to prevent sunburn.
Water:
Water thoroughly only when the soil is completely dry. As a succulent, it stores water in its leaves and is susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Reduce watering frequency in cooler months when the plant is less actively growing.
Humidity:
While succulents are drought-tolerant, they can appreciate some humidity. The pebble tray you have is a great way to provide this, especially in dry environments.
Temperature:
Aim for temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C) for optimal growth, but Trailing Jade can tolerate a range of temperatures.
Soil:
Use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix, and ensure your pot has drainage holes to prevent water from pooling around the roots. Terracotta or clay pots are ideal as they promote airflow.
